Weld-in tubular k-member
I was really interested until I read on the website that a motor/center plate is required for motor mounting. Does anyone know how much work this requires? I’m not sure what you would tie it to in that area. Do you need some sort of frame brace to attach to, or do you need to route a frame rail to the frame rail? I’ve done some internet research to see what’s out there but haven’t come across anything that wasn’t common.

Fully TIG welded and machined from chromoly. Turbo systems, larger headers, dry sump attachments and large oil pans are all difficult replacements for these older chassis with the stock bulky center section of the frame. These kits require no cutting of the factory frame rail at all, which is also a legal modification for most true street and other limited street grades that don’t allow “tubular front”.
All factory body parts can be installed unchanged, no guesswork!

Our universal DIY motor mount kit is specifically designed for the folks doing our pipe welding in K-members who cannot or do not want to use motor/center plates. This kit is a “you-weld-it” setup that allows for a complete custom installation and desired routing of the lower support rod for clearance around specific oil pans, bypass exhaust, larger manifold primaries, etc.

2 x 20″ long 1.5″ x .083″ 45* bent chromoly tubing
2 x 0.25 inch thick gussets
2x GM 3-bolt motor mounts (SBC/BBC)
2x 1.75″ poly jack assemblies
