What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting, also known as cryolipolysis, is an FDA-approved treatment that essentially freezes and kills fat cells in different areas of the body. During treatment, an applicator is applied to the selected area, releasing carefully regulated cooling plates to bring the fat cells to a temperature where they are permanently destroyed.

However, Dr. Sophie Shotter would only consider treating a double chin with Aqualyx if there is not enough compressible fat in the area for the CoolSculpting applicator. CoolSculpting involves significantly less downtime than Aqualyx and typically requires fewer treatment sessions, making it more cost-effective for the patient.

Also consider your sensitivity to pain. Two injections are usually given during an Aqualyx treatment session. The doctor uses a long lipo injection needle to thread the product into the fat pads. CoolSculpting is far less uncomfortable as the cooling effect is numbing.

Hyaluronic pen devices are currently being illegally sold and marketed to the public. This “treatment” is often used by people without a license.
