BANDAI NAMCO revealed the next My Hero Academia inspired game in the latest issue of Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump.

As reported by Eurogamer and Gematsu, the game will be called My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble and is expected to be a free-to-play 24-player battle royale available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam).

The latest issue of Weekly Jump revealed. Bandai Namco has announced the free battle royale My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble for PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (Steam).

According to the announcement, a closed beta will take place shortly. More details will be announced on the game’s official website when it is released or on BANDAI NAMCO’s social media, along with gameplay information and mechanics for the characters.

My Hero Academia is a superhero shonen anime produced by studio BONES. After the League of Villains received an invitation from the Metahuman Liberation Army to rescue their associate, Shigaraki and his companions arrive in Deika City to find that the Liberation Army has prepared a special reception for them. And if one of their numbers gets separated in all the chaos, they’ll be able to survive on their own in My Hero Academia Episode 109.

This week’s episode begins with a brief history of the Metahuman Liberation Army, going back to its roots when society first addressed quirks and the upheaval that followed those events. It’s an interesting insight into another viewpoint that sees the current state of superhuman society as flawed and needs to be dismantled, even if there are some glaring flaws in the group’s reasoning.

When the League arrives in Deika City, they discover a veritable army waiting for them. Hostilities quickly escalate as the League faces the full brunt of Liberation Army forces. And in all the initial confusion, Toga is quickly separated from her comrades and forced to face a determined opponent all by herself.

This confrontation is the highlight of My Hero Academia Episode 109 as it gives viewers a glimpse into Toga’s history. While I’ve never been a huge fan of the character myself, the glimpse into her past presented here does a great job of highlighting how people can be forced into tough situations for reasons they didn’t create themselves.

The manifestation of Toga’s quirk, as well as her signature smile, causes those around her to pressure her to suppress who she is. As a result, she is mistreated for a situation that is not her fault. If instead of contempt someone had tried to find a way to work with the girl and find a sane way to deal with her quirk, would young Toga find herself where she is now? My Hero Academia Episode 109’s particular emphasis on Toga’s slightly disturbing smile reminds me of another shonen character who is judged for his looks. However, his story takes a very different turn from hers.

A lot of work went into the graphics in My Hero Academia Episode 109 to deliver everything that brings the episode to fruition. A brief introduction

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, also known as MLBB, is a 5v5 multiplayer online battle arena game developed for iOS and Android devices. It was released in 2016 by the Chinese company Moonton. The game features team-based 5v5 battles where the main objective is to successfully destroy the other team’s base. The game offers the user a lot of customization options by offering different characters to play with, also known as “heroes”, and each hero has their unique attributes and abilities. All heroes can be purchased with the in-game currency “Diamonds”, which can only be obtained via in-app purchases or battle points or BP.

The game basics

With your team of five heroes facing off against an enemy team of five players, the game gives the main objective to destroy the opposing team’s base, securing victory while defending their base from ambushes and flanks. There are three lanes on the playing field; upper, middle and lower lanes all with 6 towers, 3 from one team and 3 from the other.

Minions, creeps and monsters

Weak computer-controlled minions spawn from the base in each lane every 30 seconds to attack other minions, heroes, and turrets. There are different types of creeps or monsters on the map that can be farmed by “junglers”. Junglers are the heroes who farm creeps to get a level boost or advantage so they can help their team progress and potentially secure victory. The strongest of these creeps are the Turtle and the Lord. The turtle is the second strongest creep and has high HP (health points) and damage. Whoever kills the turtle, their team gains a lot of gold and experience, and the player who kills the turtle gets a buff that improves their attributes. The Lord, on the other hand, is the strongest creep with the highest HP and damage compared to other creeps. The team that kills the lord also gets a good amount of gold and experience. The Lord also fights for the team that killed him, attacking the weakest lane dealing massive damage to enemy turrets. The Turtle spawns at 2:00 game time, while the Lord spawns at 9:00 game time.

The heroes

Now that we’ve gone through all that, let’s take a look at the most important element of the game – the heroes. As of August 2021, there are 107 heroes, with the newest addition being Natan (The Space-Time Walker). There are a total of 6 hero classes that the player can choose from namely assassin, fighter, gunner, mage, tank and supporter.

His lifesteal is incredible at all stages of the game, and he can easily chase down chasing enemies. His damage output is also unreal, and if it matches his lifesteal, he can easily handle fights where he’s outnumbered. Alucard is a tough hero to master, but hugely rewarding once you know how to play him.

My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero, from Sony Pictures Television and Funimation, launches today, May 19, 2021. This is the first My Hero Academia game to ever receive an English release. The game itself might be a mobile game, but it seems to be quite high quality judging by the trailer above.

Players can download My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero for free from the iTunes App Store or Google Play. You can also join MyHeroGame.com for free. You can even get free in-game goodies if you sign up directly from their website, so that’s a bit of an incentive.

So what is My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero about? Well, at its core, it’s an open-world action RPG similar to other superhero games like Infamous or 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man. The game allows fans to play as their favorite characters from Class 1-A, including Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki, pro heroes like All Might and Endeavor, and even villains like Stain. Players can build their own team roster in story mode and take on classic villains like Shigaraki and Nomu. In My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero, players can even challenge each other in PvP or face off against the Allied onslaught in co-op. New content is released each month, adding more of players’ favorite heroes and villains.

Maybe new moves would be part of this new monthly content?

The only thing you might not like about My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero is the fact that it is a free game. Thus, the game follows a freemium model and uses in-game purchases to earn money. However, to be fair, it’s a problem that all freemium games have. It’s understandable if you don’t like it. But it’s the first My Hero Academia game to get an English release and the game seems to be quite high quality. It might be worth trying.

My Hero One’s Justice, known as My Hero Academia: One’s Justice in Japan, is a 2018 fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is based on the manga series My Hero Academia by Kohei Horikoshi.

Production and release[edit]

In the first 2018 issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, it was announced that Bandai Namco Entertainment is developing a video game based on the My Hero Academia franchise. The game was released on August 23, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan. Internationally, the game was released on October 26, 2018 on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows platforms.[2]

Shoot-style Endeavor and Izuku Midoriya were released as a pre-order bonus and later as paid DLC.[3] Inasa Yoarashi was also made available as paid DLC on November 14, 2018.[4]

Reception [edit]

GameSpot’s Jordan Ramée praised the characters, controls, and Easter eggs over the original source material, while criticizing the story mode for requiring knowledge of the source material. GameRevolution’s Alex Santa Maria praised the presentation, online play and rendering of the anime series, but also criticized the AI, camera and combat system.[10] Digitally Downloaded’s Clark A. praised the game’s presentation and gameplay, but felt that some aspects of the main series were lost. IGN’s Mitchell Saltzman praised the action and graphics, but also criticized the game’s combat and story modes.[12] Pocket Gamer’s Dave Aubrey praised the graphics and the beginning of the game, although Aubrey felt it became repetitive after a few hours of play.[14] Nintendo Life’s Dom Reseigh-Lincoln praised the visuals and presentation while criticizing the gameplay as a missed potential.[13] Anime News Network’s Richard Eisenbeis praised the “if” stories while criticizing the online game as sluggish and the character roster as unbalanced.[9]

In its first week, the game sold 24,626 units on the Nintendo Switch and 16,036 units on the PlayStation 4, for a total of 40,652.[16] In January 2019, it was announced that the game had shipped over 500,000 copies.[17]

Continuation[edit]

A sequel titled My Hero One’s Justice 2 was announced in a September 2019 issue of Weekly Shōnen Jump. It was released in Japan on March 12, 2020 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The next day it was released internationally on the same platforms.[19]

My Hero Academia is still very popular and for some it is the current “it” anime. Of course, Bandai Namco jumped at the chance with a big arena brawling game, and that series continues with My Hero One’s Justice 2, which debuts in 2020.

Set after the events of the first game, the sequel will be released on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch and will feature teams of three going head-to-head. The first teaser is actually a teaser that gives us zero gameplay, but Bandai Namco has declared Destructoid that it will be playable at New York Comic Con in booth 515 next weekend.

My Hero Academia is heating up elsewhere as the manga prepares to jump into an immediate new arc. The anime also just finished its third season, which has a fourth season in the works.
